How to Set up a Focus Integration in the GRUBBRR Portal

Last updated: August 5, 2026

GRUBBRR has implemented a cloud-based integration with Focus POS/FocusLink that allows us to pull menu data and other location-relevant information for use in the GRUBBRR ecosystem. It is important to note that the menu we pull from Focus is the online ordering menu. We will also pull any images that are uploaded to that menu. At this time, gift cards are not supported.

Prerequisites

Before pulling a Focus POS menu, there are a couple of pieces of information you will need to request from the client.

These include:

  • Venue ID
  • Employee ID
    • Note: In order for this integration to work properly, please ensure the following:

      • We have the Employee's ID from the Focus POS, NOT their access code, and
      • The Employee ID we receive is one that is always logged in to the POS, not one that logs in and out daily. Our best practice recommendation is for the client to create a unique employee for GRUBBRR that will remain logged in 24/7
  • Discount Menu ID
  • Item Special Instruction ID
  • Price Number

If the client wishes to use discounts on the kiosk, we will need a list of all discounts they wish to use, their reference IDs, and the function of the discount. These must be manually entered into the GRUBBRR Portal. For more detailed information on this, view the Configuring Discounts section of this article.

Pulling a Focus POS Menu

  1. Log in to the GRUBBRR Portal using your client’s credentials
  2. Select Integration from the left sidebar menu
  3. Select Focus POS from the dropdown
  4. On the Integration Setup page, make the following configurations:

    • In the Client Key section, enter ce25fac5-6470-42c3-be7a-6f5a28b3af44
    • In the Client Secret section, enter 0988f8a9-90a8-4497-964f-d73587997337
    • Enter the client-provided Venue ID
    • Enter the client-provided Employee ID (See note in Prerequisites)
    • Leave all the Sync Settings checkboxes un-checked
    • Select Integrator as the default payment type
    • Select to subscribe to all webhooks under Webhook Subscription
    • Enter the client-provided Discount Menu ID
    • Enter the client-provided Item Special Instruction ID
    • Enter the client-provided Price Number
  5. Select Save Only to apply your settings
  6. Select Save & Sync Data Now to perform the menu sync

Configuring Focus Loyalty (If Applicable)

If the client is using Focus loyalty:

  1. In the URL for User Sign Up field, enter https://loyalty.focuspos.com/base
  2. In the Merchant ID field, enter the Venue ID you used in the previous section
  3. In the User Name field, enter 32962506
  4. In the Password field, enter 539314382
  5. (Optional) Select Allow Unlimited Rewards Per Order if the client wishes to enable this feature.
  6. Select Save & Sync Data Now

Sync Settings

During the initial menu pull, all sync settings must be turned off for the menu data to properly populate into the GRUBBRR Portal.

After the menu is customized, the following sync settings should remain checked at all times:

  • Ignore Category Item Mapping
  • Ignore Record Images
  • Ignore Display Name
  • Ignore Display Order

These settings remaining un-checked is what allows the GRUBBRR environment to customize the kiosk menu to be more user-friendly.

If you expect frequent menu updates, we recommend turning on the Daily Sync. You can set a time for the Focus menu to sync with the GRUBBRR Portal every day.

Configuring Discounts

If the client wishes to allow customers to use discounts on the kiosk, these discounts must be manually created in the GRUBBRR Portal.  We will need a list of all discounts they wish to use, their reference IDs, and the function of the discount.

To create discounts in the GRUBBRR Portal:

  1. Log in to the GRUBBRR Portal
  2. Select the location you want to manage from the menu
  3. Select Advanced Pricing from the left sidebar menu
  4. Select Discounts

  5. Select +Add New on the upper right side of the screen
  6. On the Discount Settings page, make the following configurations:

    • Name your discount
    • Choose Regular Discount
    • Apply discount to:
      • Items
        • Select as many items from the dropdown as necessary
      • Categories
        • Select as many categories from the dropdown as necessary
      • Order Subtotal
    • Select Requires Coupon Code
    • Enter the discount’s External Reference ID
    • Optional:
      • Add a discount image
      • Set discount limitations
        • N Times Only / N Times Per Customer
    • Select Save when finished
  7. Repeat steps 5 - 12 as necessary

Menu Management

The Focus integration with GRUBBRR supports:

  • Up to 3 layers of nested modifiers (modifier groups that involve 3 layers of selection)
  • Creating subcategories in the GRUBBR Portal
  • Creating new categories in the GRUBBRR Portal
  • Customizing modifier groups to remove certain modifiers

The Focus integration with GRUBBRR does not support:

  • Creating new items in the GRUBBRR Portal
  • Creating new modifiers/modifier groups in the GRUBBRR Portal
  • Combos

Modifier Price Override

The Focus integration features price levels for items and modifiers. Item price levels are determined by the price level set on the Focus integration page.

Modifiers on the other hand can have their own price level set, however, this is done on a per-item basis.

To customize a modifier price level:

  1. Log in to the GRUBBRR Portal using your client’s credentials
  2. Select the appropriate location from the menu
  3. Select Menu from the left sidebar menu
  4. Select Catalog Management from the dropdown
  5. Select Items from the dropdown
  6. Locate the item you are looking to manage
  7. Select the Manage Modifiers icon
  8. Locate the modifier group you are looking to manage
  9. Select Override Modifier Settings in the upper right corner of the modifier group table
  10. Scroll down to the listed modifiers
  11. In the Select All row, you can select a Price Level to apply to all modifiers in the group
    1. Select Apply to All to confirm the change
  12. You can also set price levels per modifier by selecting the Extra Price dropdown next to the appropriate modifier
  13. Select Save at the bottom of the page
