How can we Confirm Which Version of Simphony Gen 2 we are using?
You can pull up your Simphony version through the Simphony Terminal. On the log-in screen, the just type "999," then hit "Delete" three times, and the system will pull up system details. This will include the version of Simphony your are using.
Setup Requirements
The GRUBBRR team will request all of the values we need to configure the Simphony Gen 2 integration on your behalf. Once you are ready to go live with the GRUBBRR products, your menu will already be pulled and configured in the GRUBBRR portal.
The credentials we'll need are as follows:
Oracle Base URL: The API URL that can be used for API Calls
Auth URL: The API URL that can be used for API Authentication calls
Your Simphony Client ID
An API username: The user name created for making API Calls
An API Password: The password for the above API username
Your Organization's "Short Name" in Oracle
Location ID and Name: The location identifier and name in the Oracle system
RVC: The revenue center GRUBBRR will be associated with
Menu, Price Menu Level, and Price Sequence: The specific menu and pricing GRUBBRR will show
Calorie Nutritional ID (Optional)
An Employee ID we can use to submit orders
Configuring Calorie Counts
You can configure calories in your system using the Enterprise Management Console (EMC).
Calorie Nutritional ID is a value set in EMC that determines which field holds items’ calorie counts.
To find the Calorie ID:
Log in to the EMC
Under the Menu Item Maintenance tab, select the Nutrition tab
If Calories are not listed in the table, add them by clicking Add
Select the … button from the last row in the table
Select Calories from the window that appears, note the name in that row
Select OK
Return to the Gen 2 Integration Settings page
Enter that calorie identifier from step 5 in the Calorie Nutritional Data ID field
Adding an Employee
To add a new employee in EMC, open the Employee Maintenance tab if it’s not open already:
From the hierarchical display on the left, select the Location Name
On the right, under Personnel, select Employee Maintenance
Select the Search button at the bottom of the search criteria panel on the left
Click + (a white plus sign on a green background) toward the top of the screen
Click the Employee Maintenance tab toward the top of the screen
Select Add Employee Records without a Template
Select Next Available Position
Click OK
Click the + button again
From the Select a task to perform list, select Add Employees to a Property
Select the employee you previously created
Select OK, then Yes
Click the Refresh button (two blue arrows) at the top of the screen
The new employee should show on the list, make a note of the number in the ID column in that row
