Last updated: August 8, 2026

How can I use discounts from my Toast POS on the GRUBBRR Kiosk?

Pulling Discounts from Toast

Before we can use or configure discounts from Toast, we have to update Toast integration settings in the GRUBBRR Console. This will tell our platform to pull discounts as part of our regular menu sync process.

This flag needs to be enabled on the Integration settings page for each location, following the steps outlined below.

Go to gcc.grubbrr.com

1. Click "Kiosk Settings" in the left sidebar

Click 'Kiosk Settings' in the left sidebar

2. Select "Integration" from the dropdown

Select 'Integration' from the dropdown

3. Click "POS"

Click 'POS'

4. Switch to the Settings page

When the sync is complete, we'll be able to manage discounts in the GRUBBRR Menu Manager.

Configuring Discounts from Toast in the Console

Once we've pulled available discounts from Toast, we can activate them in the GRUBBRR console. Remember- almost all discount rules are controlled by the Toast POS, except for discount codes at the Kiosk . Discounts are configured through the Menu Manager; so, if a you are using ECM, they will need to be updated as part of the Master Menu Dataset.

In this guide, we'll walk through the process of configuring Toast discounts for a brand using location-level menus.

1. Click the "Menu Settings" option in the sidebar

Click the 'Menu Settings' option in the sidebar

2. Select "Discounts"

Select 'Discounts'

3. All discounts import as "Inactive" by default; to enable a discount, simply toggle the flag in the "Status" column

4. When you've activated the discount(s) you want to use, click the "Edit' button in the Action column to update the settings

When we import discounts, we pull discount names, IDs, and types from Toast. We generally can not change these fields in the Console; but there are two notable exceptions to keep in mind:

  1. Traditional Buy One, Get One discounts from Toast import as "Subtotal" discounts in the console; this does not impact their functionality on the Kiosk
  2. If you want to offer a mixed item discount (Buy a burger, get a small Fries for free), we need to set the discount type as "BOGO,"  then map the items that you want to discount accordingly.

When you've activated the discount(s) you want to use, click the 'Edit' button in the Action column to update the settings

5. Note: when we're editing Toast discounts in the Console, don't forget to add a description; if this field is empty, we won't be able to save our changes

6. If you want to use discount codes on their Kiosk, check the "Is Code Required" flag here

Click Is Code Required to specify whether a discount code must be entered to redeem the offer.
