How to Install the GRUBBRR Agent and Proxy Service for Simphony Gen 2 Ordering

Last updated: October 19, 2026

GRUBBRR uses locally-hosted agent and proxy-service applications to allow your kiosks to continue processing orders even when they can not communicate with the Simphony Gen 2 cloud platform. These applications should be installed on the same computer that hosts your local POS server.

Downloading the Agent and Proxy Service

The GRUBBRR agent and proxy service applications are available as .msi files. You can download the applications from the links below, and then install them on the host PC just like you would a .exe file.

Installing the Agent and Proxy Service

Before you can run the proxy service, you will need to enter IP address of the host PC on the "Integration Settings" page of the GRUBBRR Console. Please contact GRUBBRR Support at support@grubbrr.com, or at (561)755-6999 if you need assistance with this step!

You can download the applications directly on the PC hosting your POS. Simply double click the .msi file to load the installer, then follow the prompts to complete the installation. Both files need to be installed for the agent to work as expected.

Exporting Menu Data with the GRUBBRR Agent

Exporting a Menu from the POS

The video here outlines the process of installing and exporting menu data from the GRUBBRR Agent after it has been installed on your POS terminal. This serves as a fallback to update your kiosk menu if GRUBBRR's platform loses communications with the Simphony Gen 2 cloud.

To export a menu using the GRUBBR Agent:

  1. Make sure that the GRUBBRR Agent and Proxy have been installed on the PC hosting the POS terminal

  2. Make sure that the Agent has been linked with the GRUBBRR Console, using the three word access code generated on the Simphony Gen 2 Integration page

  3. On the GRUBBRR Agent, you can:

    1. Import new menu updates using the "Pull Configuration" button

    2. Send menu updates to the GRUBBRR Console by using the "Export Menu" button

  4. Once you've done a menu export, simply sign into the GRUBBRR Console and verify that the menu updates have been received and applied
