Discounts, Coupons, and Scheduled Promotions

Using the GRUBBRR Portal you can add discounts and promotional pricing to your items. These discounts can be configured based on time, date, and device (Kiosk, POS, Online Ordering).

There are two different ways to create discounts in the GRUBBRR Portal (Discounts and Scheduled Promotions).

Discounts

In the Discounts tab, you can create discounts for specific items, categories, and payment types, as either a flat dollar or percentage amount off entire orders. You can also configure BOGOs, add discount start and end dates, create coupon codes, and add discount use limitations.

To create discounts:

  1. Log in to the GRUBBRR Portal using location level credentials
  2. Select 'Advanced Pricing' from the left sidebar menu
  3. Select 'Discounts'
  4. Select '+Add New' on the upper right side of the screen
  5. Name your discount
  6. Choose Regular Discount or BOGO
    • Regular
      • Apply discount to:
        • Items
          • Select as many items from the dropdown as necessary
        • Categories
          • Select as many categories from the dropdown as necessary
        • Order Subtotal/Total
          • Subtotal will apply pre-tax
          • Total discounts will apply after tax is calculated
        • Cash/Card
          • Select a discount for the cash or card payment typeimage3.png
    • BOGO
      1. Choose whether you want to do a Buy X Items get Y Items Free BOGO or Buy X Items get Y Items Z% Off BOGO
      2. Enter the 'X' amount of items a customer must purchase to be eligible for the discount
        1. Select the items that are applicable
      3. Enter the flat amount or percentage discount that a customer will receive on 'Y' items
      4. Enter the 'Y' amount of items a customer receives as a promotion for using the BOGO
        1. Select the item(s) that a customer can receive for a free or discounted rate
      5. Select if the discount applies to the least expensive or most expensive item

  7. Optional:
    • Add a discount image
    • Add a start and end date
    • Make the discount require a coupon code
    • Select to only show the discount on specific devices/channels
      • Show on Kiosk
      • Show on POS
      • Show on Online Order
    • Set discount limitations
      • N Times Only / N Times Per Customer

Coupon Codes

To create discounts that are only available using a discount code, follow the above process and select 'Requires Coupon Code.' You will then be able to enter a custom coupon code and select which devices or channels you would like customers to be able to redeem this discount.

Scheduling

To create discounts for specific times/days:

  1. Log in to the GRUBBRR Portal using location level credentials
  2. Select 'Advanced Pricing' from the left sidebar menu
  3. Select 'Discounts'
  4. Either create the applicable discount or find the discount you would like to add scheduling to
  5. Select the 'Happy Hours' icon (clock on a pink background)
  6. Configure available days and times
  7. Select 'Save'

Scheduled Promotions

Scheduled Promotions can be used to create price adjustments for specific items, categories, or the entire menu based on weekdays and times or dates.

To create scheduled promotions:

  1. Log in to the GRUBBRR Portal using location level credentials
  2. Select 'Advanced Pricing' from the left sidebar menu
  3. Select 'Scheduled Promotions'
  4. Select '+Add New' on the upper right side of the screen
  5. Name your promotion
  6. Select 'Base Menu'
  7. Select either 'By Week' or 'By Date'
    • By Week: You will enable or disable days and enter times for those days
    • By Date: You will enter a start and end date and time
      • You can select 'Recurring Yearly' to make the promotion occur annually during that date range
  8. Choose to adjust prices for the full menu or specific categories
    • If you select 'categories,' you will be able to select which categories are a part of the promotion
  9. Adjust prices by Percentage, Flat Amount, or Total Price
    • Percentage: Enter a percentage to discount the menu/categories by
    • Flat Amount: Enter a flat amount to discount the menu/categories by
    • Total Price: Enter a value that will become the price for all items in the menu/selected categories
  10. If desired, you can Edit Prices for individual items by selecting the 'Edit Prices' icon
    • This allows us to "remove" items from the promotion by resetting them to their original cost; when we do this, the Kiosk will remove the promotional banner from those items, creating a clear visual indicator of what is or is not included in the promotion
  11. Select 'Save'
