The Lane 3000 is a payment terminal that we use with FreedomPay. When connecting the Lane 3000 to a client's GRUBBRR devices, it's important to note that there are two different connection options:
- Via Ethernet, as we'll cover in this guide
- Via USB, which is documented here
Please make sure you're following the appropriate process for the client that you're assisting!
Step 1: Powering On the Pin Pad
- Plug the pin pad into a power outlet—it should turn on automatically
Step 2: Finding the IP Address
If you haven't already recorded the device's IP address, you can do so by following the steps below.
- Press and hold the Yellow (< )and # keys at the same time. This will restart the pin pad
- Once it reboots, use the Up/Down Arrow keys beneath the device screen to scroll to IP Configuration
- Make a note of the IP address for step 4
Step 3: Setting Up the Pin Pad for Ethernet
Next, we need to make sure that the device has been configured to communicate with the client's GRUBBRR devices via local network. You can turn on LAN communication by following the steps below.
- Enter the Admin Menu of the payment terminal by typing
0001
- Go to Communication Type and select ETHERNET (since we’re connecting via the internet)
- Press the Yellow (<) button twice
- If it asks to save the settings, press 1 or the Green button to confirm
- The pin pad will restart again and apply the changes.
Step 4: Connecting the Pin Pad in Backend Settings
