One of GRUBBRR's most popular features is the automated upsell on our kiosks. Upsells can be configured on an item-level or order-level basis.
Item-level upsells are offered to customers based on the items they have added to their cart. For example, if you want to offer a medium Coke whenever a customer purchases a chicken sandwich, an item-level upsell is what you are looking for. Whenever a customer adds a chicken sandwich to their cart, a pop-up will appear on the screen, offering them a medium Coke.
First, let's take a look at how we can map an item-level upsell to a specific item in the GRUBBRR Portal.
1. Click "Menu"
2. Click "Catalog Management"
3. Click "Items"
4. Click the orange "Upselling" button
5. First, select the category to pull your upsell items from
6. Next, select the item to offer as an upsell
7. If you're using GRUBBRR as a Standalone Solution, you can use price overrides to offer upsells at a discount
Please note: this feature is not supported with POS integrations.
8. Click "Add" to finalize your selection
You can repeat this process as many times as you would like; please note, however, that GRUBBRR recommends a limit of four upsells per menu item.
9. Click "Save"
10. Remember to sync your changes to your Kiosk when they're done!
Adding Item-Level Upsells in Bulk
If you have a lot of "standard" upsells that you would like to offer on the Kiosk, the Portal supports creating item-level upsells in Bulk. This way, you can quickly create a list of items that will trigger the upsell prompt on your Kiosk, and map your preferred upsells directly to that list. If you'd like to use this feature:
