Building your menu in the GRUBBRR Portal can be a complex process, but we've built our system to make looking for the items, categories, and selections you need as easy as possible. In this article, we'll cover some of the basics of navigating the various master lists in your GRUBBRR system.
Using the Sort Function
Many of the tables we use to present your menu—such as the items, categories, combos, and selections lists—have a variety of sort functions built into their interfaces. For example, let's look at an Item List in the GRUBBRR Portal.
In each column, there's a gray [↑↓] button. Clicking on this button will automatically sort your table by ascending or descending values. For example, if we click the highlighted button in the image above, the table will list our menu items alphabetically.
Sorting by Image
One handy function of the Sort button is the ability to sort the Item, Category, and Selection lists by entries with or without images. Click the sort button once, and the portal will automatically put all menu entries without pictures at the top of the list.
Using the Filter Function
If you want to focus on a smaller sub-section of your menu, you can use the filter function built into the item, category, and selection tables to limit the number of entries they display. You can access the filter function by clicking the text box at the top of each column in the display table.
This feature is most useful in the Items list; for example, we could review only items listed in the entree category, as pictured below.
Using the Search Function
Finally, we have the search function just below the header of the Item, Categories, Combos, and Selections tables. Like the filter function, entering a term into the search bar will only show entries containing that term; however, the search bar will look for the desired term in all columns rather than just one.
This function can be helpful if you have similar items in multiple categories—e.g., if you offer different versions of an entree on your lunch and dinner menu. If you enter the item's name or display name in the search bar, your GRUBBRR portal will show you all versions of that item, no matter which category they're assigned to.
