Our previous tutorial showed how you can add commonly used modifier groups to items in bulk; however, you can also build modifiers on an item-by-item basis. In this tutorial video, we'll show you how to map modifiers through item options in the GRUBBRR Portal. As always, the steps in this process are outlined beneath the video for your convenience.
To map modifiers to your menu items:
- Log in to the GRUBBRR Portal
- Select the appropriate location from the menu
- Select Menu from the left sidebar menu
- Select Catalog Management from the dropdown
- Select Items
- Find the item you wish to modify
- Click the Modifier Management button in the Action Column
- Click Add New
- Create a Modifier Group, using the following configurations:
- The Modifier Group Name
- The Kiosk Display Order
- The KOT/KDS Display Order
- The Minimum and Maximum Selections a guest can make in the group
- The Maximum Portion a guest can order of any single ingredient
- If the modifier group has a default upcharge, add it to the price field
- To add modifiers to the group:
- Scroll down to the Selected Ingredients Table
- Pick one modifier from the dropdown box in the Ingredients column
- If desired, you can also add upcharges for specific modifiers in this table
- Click the green Plus sign to add a modifier to the group
- Repeat these steps for every modifier you want to include in the group
- The Modifier Group Name
- Click Save to apply your changes
