GRUBBRR Kiosks operating on version 10.0 or later can be configured to offer an ADA-Compliant Display mode for standard and concessionaire ordering modes. The video below shows a brief comparison of this mode versus our standard kiosk UI.
In this article, we'll summarize the main features of GRUBBRR's ADA-Compliant Display Mode and explain how you can set this feature up through the GRUBBRR Portal.
Key Features
Customers can use ADA-Compliant Display Mode at your GRUBBRR Kiosk by clicking on the ADA-Mode Banner at the bottom of the screen.
Doing so will enable the following features:
- The UI for your menu will be shifted down so that all options are accessible in the bottom 40% of the screen
- Note: Your kiosk will display a custom wallpaper, configurable in the GRUBBRR Portal, in the upper portion of the screen while in this mode
- Guests can enter special requests for menu items, just as they would in the standard menu presentation
- The User Interface will also change to a High-Contrast Color Scheme to improve the readability of categories and menu items
- If your Kiosk is configured for Concessionaire mode, the Kiosk will display all available brands as large-text, high-contrast buttons
- If all of your brands are linked to a single Revenue Center, guests can order from multiple brands as a single order; otherwise, they will need to order from each brand separately
- Finally, your kiosk will activate a Text-to-Speech function designed to help your guests track the progress of their order
