The GRUBBRR Portal offers advanced localization controls for your GRUBBRR kiosk. In this article, we'll show you how to get the most out of these settings, from offering a multi-lingual user interface to customizing your menu messages in English, Spanish, and French.
Accessing Localization Settings
First, you'll need to follow the steps below to access the Localization Settings page:
- Sign in to your account at merchant.grubbrr.com
- Select Settings in the left sidebar
- Select Localization Settings from the dropdown menu
From this page, you can make a variety of changes to your kiosk's user interface. Let's take a look at the two main areas of the page.
Language Toggles
The first section of the Localization Settings page is the Language Toggles list. You can make two changes to your Kiosk here:
- Selecting to Enable/Disable a language:
- Your GRUBBRR kiosk can display user options (i.e., buttons for dine-in/takeout, submitting an order, etc.) in English, Spanish, or French. English is always enabled by default; however, you can click on the blue toggles here to enable or disable Spanish and French options on your kiosk
- Please note that these settings do not change the display names of your menu items or categories

- Any languages that you have enabled on your kiosk can be set as the kiosk's default; this is the language that your guests will first see when they interact with your kiosks.
Customize Strings
The second section of the Localization Settings page allows you to customize the messages that guests see when browsing your menu in each enabled language.
To make configurations in this section, remember to first Select the Language for your custom messages. Then, you can write custom messages for a wide range of user messages on your kiosk, including:
- Welcome Screens
- Order Confirmation
- Tip confirmations
and more. Remember to refer to the default text column to ensure that you are entering your message in the appropriate field!
