Enabling Alternate Language Display Names for your Menu Items through the GRUBBRR Portal

If you use GRUBBRR’s localization settings to offer guests language choices for your Kiosk UI, you can further enhance your multilingual support by assigning your menu categories and items with Alt Language Names through the GRUBBRR Portal. Please note that there are two primary limitations with this configuration at this time:

1. Our kiosks can only display up to two languages- The “Primary” language, which defaults to English, and a Secondary Language (Spanish for Samsung Kiosks; Spanish or French for Android Kiosks)
2. Alt Languages must be manually assigned to each item/category through the GRUBBRR Portal.

If you would like to assign Alt Language Names to your GRUBBRR Menu, please follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to the GRUBBRR Portal at the Location Level
2. Select Menu from the left sidebar
3. You can assign Alt Language Names to the following elements of your menu
   1. Items
      1. Click on Additional Settings
      2. Enter the desired information in the Name in Alt Language field
      3. Click Save
   2. Categories
      1. Click on Additional Settings
      2. Enter the desired information in the Name in Alt Language field
      3. Click Save
   3. Combos
      1. Click on Additional Settings
      2. Enter the desired information in the Name in Alt Language field
      3. Click Save
   4. Modifiers (Ingredients + Selections)
      
      1. Enter the desired information in the Name in Alt Language field in the main Ingredient details section
      2. Click Save
   5. Common Modifiers
      1. Enter the desired information in the Name in Alt Language field in the main Item Modifiers details section
      2. Click Save
4. After you have edited your preferred items, sync the changes to your kiosk.
