Configuring Localization Settings on your GRUBBRR Kiosk
Your GRUBBRR kiosk offers two localization options for your display’s user interface. First, you can set a default language for your kiosk; this tells your device to present all buttons and options in your chosen language. Alternatively, you can give users a choice of interface languages from your kiosk’s start screen.
Note: At this time, GRUBBRR supports English & Spanish languages on our Samsung Kiosks, as well as English, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese on our Android devices. Additional language support is coming soon
Setting a Default Language for Your Kiosk
- Sign in to your GRUBBRR Portal at the Location level
- Select Configure from the left sidebar
- Select General Settings from the dropdown menu
- On the Common Tab, scroll down to the bottom of the page or use ctrl+f to search for Localization Controls
- Select the language you want for your Kiosk’s UI from the dropdown menu.
- Select Save to apply
Below is an example of a Samsung Kiosk with the UI changed to Spanish. Please note that these settings only affect the interface of your kiosk; category names and menu items must be manually configured through your Portal's Catalog Management menus.
Offering Language Selections on Your Kiosk
- Sign in to your GRUBBRR Portal at the Location level
- Select Configure from the left sidebar
- Select General Settings from the dropdown menu
- On the Common Tab, scroll down to the bottom of the page or use ctrl+f to search for Localization Controls
- Check the box next to Show language selection in welcome screen.
- Select at least two language choices from the dropdown menu you want to offer for your kiosk’s UI.
Note: As with Default Language settings, Language Selection settings primarily influence the user interface of the kiosk rather than the menu. If you want your menu items to reflect the user’s language choice, you will need to manually enter Alt Names for your Items through the GRUBBRR Portal.
