Your GRUBBRR Kiosk has a barcode reader that allows you to use the device as a self-checkout station for your customers. With this feature enabled, customers can scan barcoded items without modifiers at the kiosk but cannot browse the kiosk menu normally. If you'd like to enable this feature, please follow these steps.
Enabling Self Checkout Mode on your Kiosks
- From the left sidebar, select Configure
- Select Device Settings
- Select the kiosk you want to enable and click the blue Edit button.
- Scroll to Advanced Settings
- Enable Use Self Checkout Barcode Mode

- Note: Enabling Self Checkout Barcode Mode will also enable a search function in the kiosk. This function allows customers to search for barcoded items if the scanner does not find them for any reason.

- Select Save
You will need to repeat these steps for every kiosk that you would like to use this function.
Assigning Barcodes to Items
You can now enable barcode scanning for specific items in your menu. As a reminder, this function can only be used with items that do not have any modifiers.
- From the left sidebar, select Menu
- Select Catalog Management
- Select Items
- Select the item you want to edit on the Item List. You can scroll through the list or use the search bars at the top of the page to find the specific items you want to modify.
- Click the blue Edit button on the right side of the screen.
- Scroll down and select the option labeled Click to Manage Additional settings
- In the Item Barcode ID section, enter every digit of the number below the item's barcode. The system will not correctly scan the item if any numbers are left out.
- Select Save
