Ensure that the Printer is Powered On
- Open the printer door
- Check under the printer housing for the power indicator light. If the printer is receiving power, the light should be a solid blue.
If your Kiosk is on but the printer's power indicator is off, the first thing we should check is the printer's power switch. You can do so by following these steps:
- Look on the left side of the device, near the front of the drawer. You should see a black toggle switch.
- Make sure that the switch is in the on position, as in the image below.
- When you reset this switch, you should see the blue indicator light come on underneath the housing unit.
If you have reset the power switch, and the blue indicator light is still off, then the power cable might be the issue. So, our next step will be to check that the printer is connected to the Kiosk's internal power supply.
Checking Your Kiosk Printer's Power Cable
- Open the printer door
- Check that the white adapter on the left of the printer housing is seated correctly in the back of the device.
- Carefully pull from the bottom right corner to remove the panel covering the Kiosk's power supply.
- Locate the Printer's power cord
- Ensure that the plug is properly seated in the power strip.
- Trace the power cable to the transformer, which is fastened to the base on the left side of the power strip.
- Verify that the power cable is correctly seated in the transformer.
- Check the Printer's LED indicator to see if the light has come back on.
If your printer's indicator still does not work after completing these steps, please submit a ticket to GRUBBRR support for help.
