GRUBBRR uses a feature called Suggestive items to offer smart order-level Upsells.
Similar to Item-level upsells, Suggestive items work by pairing a triggering item- say, a burger- with upsell items, like fries or drinks. However, unlike regular upsells, Smart Upsells will not offer customers an item they already have in their cart. This helps make your menu feel more responsive/intuitive for guests while still emphasizing popular item pairings.
Limitations:
- Suggestive Upsells can not be set in bulk- they must be configured on an item-by-item basis
- We can not override prices for Suggestive Item upsells
- Items being offered as Suggestive Item upsells should not be used as upsell trigger items
- The number of Suggestive Item upsells offered on your kiosk can not exceed the Upsell limit set in your GRUBBRR Portal
Configuring Suggestive Item Upsells
Smart Upsells are configured by mapping the upsell items to each trigger item, which must be configured individually.
- Sign in to the GRUBBRR Portal at the Location level
- Select Menu in the left sidebar
- Select Catalog Management from the dropdown menu
- Select Items
- Select the item you wish to use as a triggering item and select Edit in the action column
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and enable the flag labeled Click to Manage Additional Settings
- Scroll down and manually enter or select upsell items from the Suggestive Items dropdown
- Active suggestions will be highlighted in gray
- Select Save to apply your changes
Once you sync your changes to the kiosk, your suggestive items will offered along with other order-level upsells when guests submit their orders.
