Setup

The GRUBBRR team will request all of the values we need to configure the Simphony Gen 2 integration on your behalf. Once you are ready to go live with the GRUBBRR products, your menu will already be pulled and configured in the GRUBBRR portal. 

Configuring Calorie Counts

You can configure calories in your system using the Enterprise Management Console (EMC). 

Calorie Nutritional ID is a value set in EMC that determines which field holds items’ calorie counts.

To find the Calorie ID:

  1. Log in to the EMC
  2. Under the Menu Item Maintenance tab, select the 'Nutrition' tab
  3. If Calories are not listed in the table, add them by clicking 'Add'
  4. Select the … button from the last row in the table
  5. Select Calories from the window that appears, note the name in that row
  6. Select 'OK'
  7. Return to the Gen 2 Integration Settings page
  8. Enter that calorie identifier from step 5 in the Calorie Nutritional Data ID field

Adding an Employee

To add a new employee in EMC, open the Employee Maintenance tab if it’s not open already:

  1. From the hierarchical display on the left, select the Location Name
  2. On the right, under Personnel, select 'Employee Maintenance'
  3. Select the Search button at the bottom of the search criteria panel on the left
  4. Click '+' (a white plus sign on a green background) toward the top of the screen
  5. Click the 'Employee Maintenance' tab toward the top of the screen
  6. Select 'Add Employee Records without a Template'
  7. Select 'Next Available Position'
  8. Click 'OK'
  9. Click the '+' button again
  10. From the Select a task to perform list, select Add Employees to a Property
  11. Select the employee you previously created
  12. Select 'OK,' then 'Yes'
  13. Click the Refresh button (two blue arrows) at the top of the screen
  14. The new employee should show on the list, make a note of the number in the ID column in that row

Daily Sync

It is essential that we regularly perform syncs to prevent misalignment of information between the Simphony POS and GRUBBRR ecosystem. 

Syncing can be done manually or on a daily schedule.

To configure a daily sync:

  1. Log in to the GRUBBRR Portal
  2. Select 'Integration' from the left sidebar menu
  3. Select 'Oracle Simphony Gen 2' from the dropdown
  4. Check the box next to 'Daily Sync' under Sync Settings
  5. Enter a time in the hh:mm field
  6. Select 'Save Only' at the bottom of the page
