How to use Menu Tagging / Dietary Tags in the GRUBBRR Console

Last updated: August 27, 2026

GRUBBRR devices operating on version 15.8 or later of our Kiosk application support in-app dietary "tags." On the Kiosk, these display as small icons, allowing your customers quickly determine if an item meets their dietary needs.

The GRUBBRR Console can import dietary tags from some POS platforms; however, any brand using a Kiosk on the correct app version can add tags to their menu by following the steps below:

  1. Sign into https://console.grubbrr.com

  2. Click "Menu Settings" in the Console sidebar

  3. Click "Menu"

  4. Click the "Dietary Tags" tab

  5. Click "Create Dietary Tag"

  6. Enter:

    1. A tag name

    2. An internal description (this will only appear in the Console)

    3. Upload an image that the Kiosk will use to represent the new tag

  7. Click "Create" to save your changes

  8. Repeat as needed

You can then add your tags to menu items. To add a tag to a menu item:

  1. Use the all-in-one menu view to find the item you want to update

  2. Click "Edit"

  3. Select the relevant "Dietary/Allergy Tags" on the Item Details screen

  4. Save your changes, then repeat as needed
