GRUBBRR Site Readiness Guide for Posiflex Kiosks

Last updated: September 15, 2026

Thank you for your interest in the GRUBBRR ecosystem! We're eager to help you bring GRUBBRR into your business, but we need to ensure a few things before we do. We want your installation to be a huge success, so here's a guide to help you make sure your location is ready before we arrive with your hardware.

Please review the site requirements and ensure your business is prepared. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us. We're here to help!

Prerequisites for GRUBBRR Installation

Network Requirements

Before scheduling a GRUBBRR installation, please make sure that the network in your location meets all of the following requirements:

  • Your network is not managed or "Closed"; if your POS provider manages your network, we cannot access it with your GRUBBRR devices.

  • Your internet speed supports at least 15 Mbps download speeds and at least 7 Mbps for uploads

  • Each GRUBBRR device can be connected to the same network/router via an ethernet cable

    • Two dedicated, active ethernet ports should be within 8' of each Countertop Kiosk

    • One dedicated, active ethernet port should be within 4' of each Floor Standing Kiosk or Wall Mounted Kiosk

In addition to the requirements outlined above, GRUBBRR strongly recommends taking the following steps before installation day:

  • Have your trusted IT provider configure a separate network or VLAN for your GRUBBRR hardware. This configuration helps to avoid bandwidth issues from other devices like security cameras, music systems, or guest WiFi connections. Any connectivity issues could affect your GRUBBRR system.

  • Have your trusted IT Provider configure IP address reservations or static IP settings for your GRUBBRR hardware; this configuration maintains stable and efficient communication between your devices.

Failure to adhere to these requirements can lead to poor connectivity and performance issues on your GRUBBRR devices.

Power Requirements

It's essential to have a standard power outlet within easy reach of your GRUBBRR kiosks. The exact distance varies slightly depending on your specific kiosk configuration. Please make sure that you have

  • Two power outlets within 7' of each Countertop Kiosk

  • One power outlet within 3' of each Floor Standing Kiosk, or 6' of each Wall Mounted Kiosk

Also, while it's not required, we highly recommend using an isolated ground circuit for best results.

It's also important to avoid connecting your GRUBBRR device to an outlet used by appliances such as microwaves, refrigerators, or blenders. These appliances can cause power fluctuations that may lead to hardware instability.

Space Requirements

Please use the table below to ensure you have enough space for your kiosks when they arrive.

The Site Readiness Checklist

  1. Your restaurant is NOT in active construction. All heavy construction is complete, and no additional construction that could compromise the hardware installation will be needed.

  2. Your restaurant meets or exceeds GRUBBRR's minimum network requirements of 15 Mbps for download speeds and 7 Mbps for uploads

  3. A power outlet is available within reach (see above) of each location where a GRUBBRR device or group of devices will be installed

  4. Ethernet cabling has been run and properly terminated within reach (see above) of each location where a GRUBBRR device or group of devices will be installed

  5. All GRUBBRR devices will be connected to the same network

  6. If applicable: All GRUBBRR network cabling is properly connected to the networking area where the primary ISP modem/router is

Site Readiness Terms and Conditions

When scheduling your installation, you confirm that you have completed all items on the Installation Day checklist and that your site is ready for deployment. If your location is not ready for our technicians when they arrive, you will be required to A) pay for the scheduled installation and B) schedule a new installation at full price. Please ensure that all items on the checklist have been completed before scheduling your installation.
